Summary

The Rounds iOS app does not require an account and does not send your timer activity or settings to us. It does not contain advertising, tracking, analytics or crash-reporting tools.

Your timer settings are stored within the app on your device. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

If you contact us for support, we process the information you choose to send us, as explained below.

Information stored on your device

Rounds stores information needed to provide and remember your timer preferences, including:

• Pomodoro settings;
• HIIT timer settings;
• breathing timer settings;
• any timer presets you save, including the names you give them;
• sound, vibration, appearance and notification preferences;
• whether you have completed the welcome screens;
• a timer that is currently running, so it survives closing the app; and
• the number of free timer runs used, so the app knows when the paid features begin.

This information is stored within the app on your device. Rounds does not transmit it to us.

Removing the app normally removes its locally stored settings, although copies may remain temporarily in device backups managed by you or Apple.

Information the app does not transmit to us

The Rounds app:

• does not require an account or sign-in;
• does not transmit your name, email address, location or contacts;
• does not transmit your timer history or activity;
• does not use advertising, tracking, analytics or crash-reporting tools; and
• does not send your timer settings to our servers.

The timer features work without an internet connection. An internet connection may be required to purchase, restore or verify access to paid features through the App Store.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Rounds uses local notifications to signal the end of a timer or timer phase. These notifications are scheduled by the app on your device and are not sent from a server. Rounds does not use push notifications and does not create a push token.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.

Purchases

Rounds offers auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive your payment-card or other payment-account details. Apple provides the app with limited purchase information, such as the product purchased and whether a subscription or lifetime purchase is active, so that the app can unlock the appropriate features.

Rounds does not send this purchase information to our own servers. We operate no purchase-validation server and receive no App Store Server Notifications. Apple processes App Store purchases under the Apple Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics

Rounds contains no crash-reporting or diagnostics tools of its own. If you have turned on sharing of analytics and crash data in your device's Settings, Apple may provide us with the diagnostic reports Apple prepares. That sharing is controlled by you in iOS, not by the app.

Contacting us

If you contact us, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address, name and the contents of your message.

We use this information only to answer your request, provide support and protect our legal rights. We process it because it is necessary to respond to your request and on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing customer support.

We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and any applicable legal obligations. Our email service is provided by Zoho and is configured to use Zoho's EU data centre. Zoho processes this information on our behalf under its data-processing terms. In limited cases, authorised Zoho personnel or subprocessors outside the European Economic Area may access information subject to appropriate contractual safeguards.

Website hosting

This Privacy Policy page is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open the page, Vercel processes ordinary request-log information, which may include your IP address, user agent, requested host and path, timestamp, and response status. This processing is necessary to deliver, secure and operate the website and is based on our legitimate interests in providing a reliable and secure public page.

Request logs are available to us for up to two weeks. Vercel may process data outside the European Economic Area using the safeguards described in its data-processing terms. This page sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Children

Rounds is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account and does not ask users to provide their name, age, email address or other identifying information.

If you believe that a child has sent us personal information through a support request, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information that we process about you, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection.

Because the Rounds app does not transmit your timer settings or activity to us, we cannot access, correct or delete that information. You can manage it directly on your device or remove it by deleting the app.

For information you send us directly, such as a support email, you may exercise your applicable rights by contacting rounds@brainamine.app.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Austria, the competent authority is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's functionality or data practices change. The current version is always published on this page, and the effective date at the top says when it took effect.
